Everytime I opened windows I was met with a blue screen. I then booted into safe mode once again, and tried to install the Focusrite drivers. I ran a repair upgrade for my windows 11 and both these problems were fixed. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application.” “The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. I tried booting into safe mode around a week ago and then came across two additional errors: I tried to use taskkill command on CMD to kill the McAfee tasks running in the background, still to no avail, I got "Access denied".Īny help is much appreciated, here are my PC specs:ĬPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 16-core 3.2Ghz I went also straight to the driver that was causing the problem (mfehidk.sys) and tried to delete it using Autorun (& manually) but all I got was "Access Denied" (I also tried to change permissions for this file through properties but all I managed to do was get it to say "To make chanes to this file, you will need permission from Users."). I then tried to change the permissions of said file in order to allow myself to delete them, all to come to another error which states, "Failed to enumerate objects." I also tried to manually move any McAfee files in my C: drive into the rubbish bin, but it tells me I have to be an administrator to do so, even though I am one. I'm coming to you guys after calling McAfee and I've yet to call HP to inquire about the preinstalled antivirus which I can't delete, I was wondering if you guys had a solution to my problem due to the seemingly high frequency of these errors. I am aware that this is due to McAfee antivirus software / drivers on my PC but I have tried everything to uninstall / delete them and nothing has worked.
